Creative Movement for toddlers (2 to 3 year olds):
This class is a parent/child class that introduces young children to dance and music. Children explore activities in rhythm, motor skills, games, songs and creativity with as little or as much parental participation as needed.
Creative Dance for 3 year olds:
This is a 45 minute class designed to prepare the young dancer for Ballet. This class develops gross and fine motor skills, basic Ballet and dance movements, and rhythm as students learn to use their imagination as it relates to dance.
Creative Dance II for 4 year olds:
This is a 45 minute class designed to prepare the young dancer for Ballet. This class continues to develop gross and fine motor skills, basic Ballet and dance movements, and rhythm as students learn to use their imagination as it relates to dance.
PreBallet/Tap for 5 year olds:
This is an hour long class that introduces the student to the Ballet barre and the more complex rhythm and coordination in Tap. This class gently teaches proper form while allowing the child to delight in the joy of dance.

Primary and Upper Level Classes
If you are new to the school, please call the studio to set up a time for evaluation for class placement. If you are a returning student, simply call to get the days and times available.
Primary 1, Intermediate and Advanced Primary (Online registration not available/please contact studio at 281-491-7530)
Primary level classes meet twice a week and include 2 hour long Ballet classes and the option to do Tap and/or Jazz.
Upper Level Classes (Online registration not available/please contact studio at 281-491-7530)
Upper level classes meet daily and include many options such as Stretch or Floor Barre classes, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, and Aerial. In addition, students are given the option to perform in our annual production of the classic ballet, The Nutcracker, as well as other ballets and shows throughout the year.
Class placement is determined by the staff and is based on ability, maturity, experience, and age. Please contact the studio directly for class times/days and additional information. Our curriculum is a graded syllabus developed by the expert staff of SLDC. Students can be assured that with regular attendance, they will progress quickly, safely, and correctly.
